Don’t Super Size Me
Last night I finally got around to watching Super Size Me, the documentary by Morgan Spurlock. I’ve gotta tell you, this movie will open your eyes.
When I was a graduate student, working toward a fancy degree in Applied Physics, I weight 170 lbs. with about 8-10% body fat. I was ripped.
Once I started teaching high-school, things changed.
I swelled to about 210 lbs. and who knows what my body-fat percentage was. It took time, but I’ve gotten back down to about 185, and my body fat has been slowly decreasing.
I did it by cutting out fast food completely, eliminating soda from my diet, and in general eating more natural foods. I also started using Matt Furey’s combat conditioning (Click Here) to build muscle.
It has been slow, but it works.

I’m pretty sure it is not for everyone, since loosing a pound a day may not be good for you. But for some who can’t take the slow, deliberate road like me, it might just be what works.
